Admissions & Registration

Information for families, guardians, and agency partners about enrollment at JJCS.

Who Is JJCS For?

The Juvenile Justice Center School serves youth in grades 6–12 who are under the supervision of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Students are referred to JJCS through the Juvenile Justice Intake system following referral by law enforcement.

Enrollment at JJCS is not a voluntary process — students are placed here as part of their court-ordered detention. All educational services are provided in accordance with Miami-Dade County Public Schools standards and the student’s individual academic needs.

Important: JJCS is a secured educational facility. It is not open to the general public for enrollment. Placement is coordinated through the Juvenile Justice system and Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
