Information for families, guardians, and agency partners about enrollment at JJCS.
The Juvenile Justice Center School serves youth in grades 6–12 who are under the supervision of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Students are referred to JJCS through the Juvenile Justice Intake system following referral by law enforcement.
Enrollment at JJCS is not a voluntary process — students are placed here as part of their court-ordered detention. All educational services are provided in accordance with Miami-Dade County Public Schools standards and the student’s individual academic needs.
Upon intake, the following documentation is typically required:
JJCS operates on a trimester calendar unique to the Juvenile Justice Center program. The school year runs year-round to accommodate student intake at any point during the year.
